Nurburgring

Dear All,
Sorry for posting this after only 2 posts however as you are an autonomous collective there is no one to email about it!

Anyway, as I am sure you know the MX-5 is 20 years old this year and as part of the celebrations I am organising a trip to the Nurburgring from the 30th May to 2nd June. It will form part of the MX-5 Owners Club 15-20 celebrations but is organised through Mazda on Track and open to all.
It has come about for many reasons, mainly because no one was focusing on motorsport for Mazda's in the UK and we have been involve personally in may other trips over there for many other car groups, and what better time to organise a trip for a car that is really at home there and on it's 20th birthday, but also because we love going.

The details are here

http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/forums/t/2361.aspx

http://www.ekmpowershop9.com/ekmps/shop ... 9-25-c.asp

And also on many other forums.

So far I have written to 29 different European clubs and had positive interest from clubs from Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Hungary and France so it will be very European.

The mainland UK group is predominantly going from Dover which obviously is unlikely to be convenient, however, if anyone is interested in going, and it is a fantastic place, if you need any help at all give me a shout and we will try our best to sort things.

Cheers,

Nick

I thought I would post the whole thread because I now have very good interest from Europe As well.
I have written to 40 European clubs and had good response from Spain, Itally, Hungary, Sweden, France, Holland and Belgium.

Also Phil Dixon who is Performance Five, is coming as our official fixed of mechanical things, so it is going to be a good trip,

I am currently contacting other European Clubs. The Belguim MX-5 Club is interested in involement as also is the Hugarian Club. As there are many clubs to write to, it is not quick, but I will keep everybody updated.

Hi Everybody, I have been stupid busy with all sorts of stuff so have not been on here for a while. Got made redundant, training as a driving instructor, went racing, applied to be a rally and race instructor, doing a huge event for charity, been asked to sell a couple of vans and get do some stuff for my old employer and also really looking forward to the Ring Trip and no that is not a gay euphemism!
If anybody is thinking of joining us, it is going to be a mega event. We have atleast 40 European drivers joining and a couple from the USA who have had their Miata shipped over specially. We have France, Belgium, Holand, Italy, Spain and Greece drivers coming, the Hungarians that started it all, said their ball had got a puncture and couldn't play any more though, but we are just waiting on Mazda to santion our special sticker and away we go. Much beer will be drunk I am sure.
