Right Lads and Lassies, THERE HAS NOT BEEN A TECH DAY THIS YEAR!!!!
YET
Well, as we approach the end of the year I think it is only fitting that we have one.
Ivan has kindly offered the use of his premises in Blanchardstown for this event and the plan is to have a tech/social day on SATURDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER.
This year has seen some amazing numbers at the runs, so look on this as a follow up, with an eye on what we can look forward to next year. Refreshments and a barbeque are proposed..regardless of the weather!!
This would be an ideal opportunity to get those little jobs on your 5 , that you've been putting off for ages , completed. Maybe you need to change oil/filters/plugs etc., before the Winter?? Maybe you're not too confident under the bonnet?? Why overpay some "mechanic" to do the simple jobs??
Come along to the tech day and learn from your fellow mx5 drivers.
Please register your interest on this thread so we can get some idea of numbers
Please feel free to state what type of job you might be planning on doing at the tech day, this helps others who may be contemplating similar work.
As for myself, I hope to put my soft top and rain rail (thanks to John Clooney in Cork) back onto the car. If I get time I wish to connect up a car stereo as well.
Participants are asked to bring tools etc., necessary for their work , but there will always be someone there to help if you are not able to source such. Any waste products must be brought away also.. be sure to bring containers for waste oil and filters etc.,
John

Damn it I am going away on holiday that day. Would love to come up to a tech day as i have fitted my link ecu today and it would be a good chance to get some tuning done with some lads in the know.
Ah well next time.

John sorry I can't make this one as we're on hols from this Saturday (and Ivan I would have been there last Sat but was away in gay Paris for the weekend!)
I guess that's it for me then this summer ..
Hard top going back on my baby tonight ... forcast for 2 weeks of rain, don't want to come back to a swamp in the drive.
Take care guys and hopefully we'll hook up over the autumn/winter time!
Safe driving folks ..

Off to the good auld US of A John.
Will be visiting Vegas, driving through Death Valley to Yosemite and on to Napa for the first week followed by a week in San Francisco without the car.
Really looking forward to it it's been a long long wet summer.
A bit sad to be putting the roof back up tho ..
