Re: IFOS - Aug bank holidayIs this event like any other classic car gathering or is it a bit more formal? I'd certainly like to attend and display if appropriate but I can only spare one day, probably Saturday. I actually spent seven days in Limerick Race Course over Easter this year with the Caravan Club I am involved with. 100 vans together, very enjoyable but damn cold! The venue has loads of room but not the atmosphere as Adare but probably better facilities for large crowds. Will we be actually displaying our cars 'formally' or just parked up as a group? In other words how much preparation needs to be done to the cars? Questions, Questions!

Re: IFOS - Aug bank holidayLast time we were gathered as a group, but the public were mingling and viewing the cars, bonnets up in many cases, I'd say not formal, more casual if it's the same as before.

Re: IFOS - Aug bank holidaygetting near. is anyone camping for the week end
Re: IFOS - Aug bank holiday
At this stage I'm still planning on camping, but i must check out the IFOS website for details. Update: Nothing per say on the website about camping, apart from an area on the map which seems to be set aside for camping, I suppose if we just turn up on the 3rd and head for that spot??
Re: IFOS - Aug bank holiday
Ok, just re-assessing plans ( probably because of the lovely weather yesterday)...As I'm on holidays the week before the IFOS, the new plan is to base myself in Killaloe area from the Thursday evening and commute daily to the IFOS..will have to do some research in relation to campsite etc. Ann or Mike, got any suggestions??? anyone else like to join us is more than welcome.
