Robin (both), Ivan and John L are you guys hooking up on the way down?

I'm stuck with leaving Maynooth around 5ish, probably too late for anyone here, but if you are interested in joining up with me, pm for my number.

Ann is picking up the house keys at last check .. maybe worth posting what time you are doing this Ann as John's girlies might be earlier.

Do we have a route for Saturday yet Ollie? I have to pick up my second co pilot in the afternoon and might do this during the run if we'll be around Sligo or south of it?

Really looking forward to this one.

Shena, don't worry about my Lassies, two of them will be arriving late enough so we'll hook up at the campsite or by phone. It may be only one in the house , depending on how the camping thing goes, but I insist on paying as if 2 were staying as per the original arrangement.. no arguments

I'd say by the time we get to Maynooth it would be around 5ish.
We will keep in touch by phone and see how things go on friday.

I'll be working till 6 and than have to drop a work collegue (who is over from Switzerland) back home at my place.
I'll be joining you guys late in the evening (probably will need some hands setting up the tent), so I can hit the beer.
I expect I should be there between 9pm-10pm.

that would ave been moi... as this is my home turf - I know all the routes good n bad... Enniscrone seems a long way to go for some beach driftin... if you time it right there is a driveable beach on the way to Rosses Point (a tidal road to Coney Island)... not that anyone is askin for my opinions on my hometown or anything...

Be careful of those back roads lads & lassies - horses, sheep, hillwalkers, cyclists, children & bendy small roads make for heart failures be aware, be alert... they are a blast to drive but NOT to race... try the loughgill roundabout road, a fine specimen if any & not for the faint hearted... gleniff has some spectacular scenery & if yez can go out to strandhill for the wave riders & the strand bar for refreshments... look behind you & you'll see the oldest cairn in Europe on top of Knocknarea mountain... dated at 5000BC... Queen Maeve's Grave...

Never had any issues there meself. Assuming there's other campers there and we dont pi*s them off with Friday night's activities we could ask them to keep an eye on the cars, or we could have a whip 'round if necessary and give someone(the warden)a few bob to do security....let's judge the situation on site. Are we assuming then that everyone is attending the dinner?...WOW

From Met.ie -

"At this stage the weekend weather looks reasonable with a continuation of that seasonal touch to it. Saturday will be an improvement; it wont be as windy and the day will be less showery with the south and east remaining almost totally dry. And there should be a lot of dry weather through Sunday as well"
