Re: Cork meet anyone?
It really looks like the weather is against us again. I'm not going to let it put me off but it may dictate which route we take and the length of it. '92 1.6 Eunos BRG
Re: Cork meet anyone?Lunch time and still looking good. I'm totally flexible on the route and how long or short it can be. Let's meet up and decide then. If it's a bit wet we can always gather in the underground car park across the road and decide from there. paulc
Re: Cork meet anyone?Well, that was fun. It was great to meet you all. Always nice to put faces to names. It was the coldest summer time trip to the beach I've ever made. Rhys took some nice photos. Looking forward to seeing them. Think I can still smell his exhaust this morning...lol.
We must do it again shortly and see if we can get a few more on board...and some warm weather perhaps. '92 1.6 Eunos BRG

Re: Cork meet anyone?Thank's for the company last night, a very enjoyable evening, a nice spin and good to meet you all. If we can squeeze in another run before the end of the month or even take Rhys up on his offer of a tech, evening I'll try and make myself avaulable, I'm easy which. And I like your idea of a shed day: chat around a cup of tea, and tackle various jobs on each other's cars, sounds like a good way to spend a rainy day! There are always things in the to-do list! I have a few specific tools that could bring or that I can land if any help to you guys, non exhaustive list from the top of my head: -Timing light (as I just used it ) -driveshaft cone for elastic CV boots -Compression tester for petrol engines -OBD code reader (not for NAs ) -Torque wrench 1/2sq drive -Multimeter -Smart battery charger -Battery booster -Clutch disc centring tool -engine bore honing tool -Piston rings compressor -brake line spanner -O2 sensor open socket -clearance gauges -coil spring compressors Also: -Axle stands and jack -Arc welder with mild and stainlesss rods -Angle grinders in various sizes 100 125 250mm -2 different Haynes manuals (repair + restore) I'm not an expert in MX5s, but can help with a few things anyway!
