Well Guys
All looking well apart from the weather.. Cloudy and showery is the forecast. It wont stop us from enjoying ourselves.... I have 2 umbrellas ....!

Myself and Thomas will be about from 9am on at the Connemara Coast Hotel. We will be handing out the maps/tulips from then on. We will try to get away for 10am sharp.

After the run there is a special rate for dinner and if you tell me on the day I can book your seat... Please try and make it for this ..

As a man once said "It takes a brave shower of rain to come round the bottom of the bar stool"

We're heading to Ennis to help Hilly fitting a new soft-top to her 5.

Ai, jaj, jaj. it's not looking too good for the weekend.
I always use this site to check wind & rain to see if it's any good kite boarding.
The site is always spot on (unfortunatly in this case).

Quite a bit different from last year's Galway run where we all burned to a crisp. 8)

48hour chart here, tho I think the worst of the rain will be in the east of the country on sat, so we might be lucky.

I'm in sligo sat night and spinning down through Galway might be part of my trip home... Where ya's likely to be sunday if I'm sober enough to drive... is the a contact number I might be able to txt/call if I'm on the way down? If not would like to meet a few of ya in new ross on the 9th.

I'd like to see what I can't afford to do to my car, not looking to do much but what to clean and tidy up...

Sunday's run, details + map courtesy of John O'Neill, he supplied 2 routes, this is the shorter one, we'll see how hangovers/time/weather is on Sunday, the longer one takes in "the cliffs" .

From Connemara Coast Hotel :
1. Leave hotel 9.30am, keep the water on your right along the coast through Galway & on to Oranmore.
2. Just before Oranmore village stop at Oranmore Shopping Centre car park
3. Drive coast road to Maree and on to Clarenbridge, make Right Hand Turn towards Limerick in Clarenbridge village "T" Junction.
4. drive approx 4km to Kilcolgan turn right for Kinvara,(N67)
5. through Ballindereen
6. Drive through Kinvara Village you pass a school on the Right and then a long landscaped area make the first left turn after this. (its on a sweeping bend)
7. Follow this road for about 8 miles, sharp bends, small hills and dips fun driving,
8. At "T" Junction turn right winds up a Hill for approx 2km ( great look out)
9. Follow road to Carran Village about 0.5 km to Castletown and follow this road to a "T" Junction turn left towards Kilnaboy
10. Through Kilnaboy on through Corofin follow N478 till it meets the N85, turn left to Ennis
11. Meet up with Hilly for Roof fitting/tech day + tyre kick BBQ ;-)
