Midlands Run Tullamore Co Offaly Sunday 19th July 2009

Hi all. The Midlands run is in the Diary and ready to roll. Lets make it a big one!! Tullamore is a great location for a run, being right bang in the centre of the Country.
For those of you who do not know where Tullamore is....shame on you!!! From Dublin, you can get to Tullamore on the N7 or the N4/N6. Its a 50 min drive from the Liffey Valley roundabout and 55/60 minutes from the Red Cow. If you are coming from South West, then the N8 from Cork or N7 from Limerick will do the trick. I will give detailed directions later....what I am really saying is that Tullamore is very central and is unlikely to be more than a 2 hour drive from most of you.
If you want to stay over on the Sat night (it is festival weekend, after all), then I can recommend the following:
Sea Dew Guest House Clonminch Tullamore (100 yards from my house!!). Good accomodation and secure parking. 5 minute walk to town centre
Clonamore House Hotel. Boutique Modern Hotel, again with secure parking but a little further out ( a short taxi ride)
Days Hotel. Excellent modern Hotel in the centre of the town. Downside is parking-- its a multi storey down the street. I'm sure we can arrange some alternative parking, if necessary.
The two main hotels are the Tullamore Court Hotel and The Bridge House Hotel. Both excellent, the Court would have better parking, while the Bridge IS the centre of town but secure parking is an issue
Full details later, start time 11.00 AM Tullamore Court Hotel Car park
Lets get the names down to guage interest:
