More IOM pics......

Postby Stig » Mon, 22 Jun 2009 10:50 +0000

Well, what a mega, MEGA weekend. :D
It was fun and not eventfull, but yet eventfull.
Ritchie L and I enjoyed the great outdoors and camped whilst the others staying in a stuffy oul plush hotel  . The campsite was "unique". Let me give you an idea of what we encountered - bawling livestock in the adjacent farm buildings, whats called locally as long tails (RATS  ), noisey crows with a bad dose of the skitther, and an irate site keeper who clearly thinks that donuts are not acceptable
On the postive side, we enjoyed the company of Eddie (the site supervisor who has a regrets), some cool blokes from the uk with their 1100's and tiger kit car :cyclops: .
Pics as follows for a start -

Yep a pretty damn good rooting tooting jivetalking beerswilling class of a trip.Top people I am delighted to have met. That bastard of a cow (daisy) on the other hand needs a traffic cone shoved in there to shut her up permanently. And as for the crows which became target practice for the "Deliverance" people need I say more?
Here she is anyway bless her:

Hey Cloggy,
Fair play to you , what a weekend brilliant fun indeed.
Everything planned to a 'T'...well done !!

Got home at 7.30 pm after 750 kms travelled...
What fun doing the Ramsey mountain road at speed... :bom: NOTHING like it :alien: :alien:

Some of the pubs we came across were...hmm an 'experience' and we were lucky enough to meet Vicky Pollard and some of her friends..(see above pics)

Once again Ollie had an eventful weekend and had another critters encounter...to add to his list

It was great to meet the UK mx5 ers, you were great fun and it wouldn't have been the same without you. We look forward to seeing you again next year, at this annual event no doubt. :P

Thanks very much to everyone for making this a very memorable event :D , and for those of you couldn't make it you missed a good run !!!!

Great to see Wayne again and newbie Richie, you guys slot in like 'a hand in a glove'.

Thanks to you all for your company...it was FAB. :alien:

Thanks again Cloggy !!!

Regards to all,
John.

Great pics Ollie.

Wasn't it crap being back at home, on those busy roads and ignorend drivers. I was booting it home, through the tunnel and over the M1.
I think we'll have to do it again next year and get that trackday included. I think that'll satisfy John C's andrenaline cravings. He just kept racing up and down that TT mountain section. 8)

Nice one Ollie. Not many critter pics considering the plague we lived and didnt sleep through.Top marks Cloggy and thanks again for the generous way I was made feel welcome.I too was booting up the M1 and as usual I could see you but not catch you so some things are the same here as they were there. No sign of a baby here yet so I'm going out now for a late spin up to Derrylin to clear the head.See ya

Hi Ivan, great to see you on the Irish forum.
Keep an eye on this section: http://srigley.powweb.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=10&sid=3761d5133d762402c950b3caa13c9051 and have your pick when you decide to come over. I'll send you my address details and you are more than welcome to stay whenever, for howlong ever you want.
My apologies to Louis (in my youtube film); Now I know it's Lewis.
PS I'd say we'll make some time when I'm over in a few weeks. My friend (Barry) bought his new Porsche Carerra S (384BHP - yaiks) and will join us this time, for a blast over the mountain.
See you in a few weeks. PS 2 Let's see if we can get Andy down from Ramsey.
Thanks for having us on the Island and it certainly looks like we're gonna be there again next year around the same time. I guess the numbers are going to be considerably higher considering this years experiences had by all.
See you soon...
Robin
