Re: belfast may 2010got to belfast eventually. left home at 10am and parked up at 12.15pm. must have been up on 150 cars in the car park and another 20 in the show area. met mazfan and few other southern refugees early on. some of the cars on this forum would have been in the running for awards without any difficulty. this was my first show and i thought cars in the ring would be absolutly pristine, and they were all very clean examples but nice to see that they were being enjoyed as they are meant to be and not trailored there to win a trophy. also met mxlude and tom5252. towards the end i met teenaG and she was staying for one of tomorrows runs. unfortunatly, i had to break for the border. will try and upload a few pics later. nice to put faces to a few names.

Re: belfast may 2010Class pics lad.
The perfection of a Car's beauty is that nothing should be there for beauty's sake.

Re: belfast may 2010I like the yellow mk2's, pity about the sh*tty weather
or are they mk3??
Re: belfast may 2010
. Yep, C'est moi! Was a bit wimpy about going up, with everyone falling off the board, and the rain etc.. but really glad now. The Spring Rally itself was great, but the run's the next day were absolutely amazing - with hundreds of cars turning up. Really quite stunning... The sun turned up too, as you can see. The views were amazing and seeing over 30 cars on a small ferry at one time was pretty special. I took the leap of faith and camped - with some lovely folks from the UK - and thanks to Billy from 'Norn Ireland for helping me with my tent, and Alan for sending on some extra photos... and lovely to meet those few Southern stragglers who made it on the day. Found some pretty woods and waterfalls around the camp site, and we all sat around a camp-fire burning logs into the early hours .... Seriously great weekend... I've filed some more photos in the gallery. Roll on Killaloe You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. Climbed Elbrus, Island Peak, Kilimanjaro, Elgon, Everest BC, Mulhacen, Elgon, Kayaked the Liffey to the Nile, swam the Liffey, the Lee & packed ten triathlons into a year... catch me blogging on: http://www.teenagates.com
Re: belfast may 2010This was my first event to attend and I really enjoyed it despite the bad weather on the Saturday.
The run on the Sunday was most enjoyable and it was great to have the hood down all day and all the way back home to Meath afterwards. It was also nice to have met other members from the forum such as Teenag and Barney and Brian from Clare. All in all it was a great weekend and I look forward to many more runs to come.
Re: belfast may 2010That Ferry looks like a Jap import Ferry...!! Bet Mazda didnt have a problem getting any parts for that event... Oh Mazda Ireland will you ever learn!!
Re: belfast may 2010Fair play to you TeenaG it was great to meet you again, and to the others who made the trip, thank's. Pity you did not all make a weekend of it you missed a cracker, don't know when if ever it will be back here, it's a lot of work. Look forward to seeing you all later in the year possably Donegal, Aug.
