That road is a disaster now with the ramps

How about resurrecting the first-Sunday noon meeting at Popes Cross instead ?

Nothing better than a bit of Papist action on a Sunday.

Either or would be good. We would need a different location for the midweek one though.

Sunday would probably suit me best but......

I went to one of the octane sunday breakfasts in the beehive (wicklow) a while back.
How about doing something similar.

Locations, ideas anyone

That was tigger who suggested that. TBH i don't think thats a good spot
it's a busy shopping centre car park not the kind of place you could stand around kicking tyres and the kind of place your car is likley to get damaged. I reckon the security would have you run out of the place fairly quickly.

RED Cow car park is usually pretty vacant ( Oh God, back to the 70's....)

it needs to be more central to be fair, having it in blanch is a bit unfair on the southsiders.

John's suggestion of the red cow, might be a runner although its not a very nice place to meet it is easy to get to for most people and we can get coffee etc in the hotel.

Shall we go for first sunday in march at the red cow and see how it goes?

Anyone been to Avoca in citywest yet? could be a runner.

Not too sure about the Red Cow, security a bit hoppy there too and is the car park empty?

Avoca a non runner, car park always full.

Does there have to have a bar/cafe close by? Woodies on the Nangor Road/Naas Road/Long Mile junction has a huge and normally empty car park. Bargain Town has closed down and I'm sure no one would object to us tyre kicking there for a while.
Mac D's is close enough for take outs. Just a thought .. I'm not usually at these meets anyway, but have a bit of local knowledge so hope you don't object to my tuppence!

The road outside the petrol station in citywest would be empty on a Sunday morning, had a look there lately and the car park to Brown's Barn is now closed off, as the place is no longer trading. Coffee etc available in the topaz station

We met the for one of the wicklow runs and had no problems.

Even on sunday mornings?
We met for the last wicklow run in avoca in kilmacanoge and it was empty.
Anyone nearby that can have a look at avoca in city west next sunday?

It would be nice to have it in a cafe or pub carpark, tyre kick & coffee, plus somewhere to go if it starts raining.

Avoca (Rathcoole) can be very busy on Sunday mornings, its great for a hangover breakfast, actually.. theres a very good reason to go there!
