My schedule's being messed up by a Christening on Saturday that I'd forgotten about  , may have to leave the party early :| , still planning to hit that neck of the woods for Thursday/Friday though

Finger's crossed

John

BTW, from Donegal which is the best route..Killybegs or Letterkenny??

...appreciate I am joining this conversation rather late, but it turns out I am likely to be in Dunfanaghy on the weekend of 20-22nd August for a first attempt at a romantic trip away in the Mazda. With my wife.

The NI club had mentioned a Donegal trip and lo and behold it's the same weekend. If I told her there was a club run to Dunfanaghy the same weekend she would never believe I hadn't arranged the trip around it (honest, I didn't!), but it might be nice to meet up at least...is there some sort of schedule coming together?

Well done NJ, I see you found it.

How convenient that Barney was so good as to arrange it for the weekend your going to Donegal.

There's a right bunch of lunatics lined up for this run including one who, not content with doing a wrap job on a telegraph pole, it intent on jumping out of a plane. Maybe of he lands on his head he MIGHT come to his senses

Really, they're a great crew and I'm sure wife will believe you and approve of the family you've joined. The only trouble is that , after this one, she'll be wanting to go to them all  .

Over to you Barney for the details.

easiest route to Dunfanaghy from Dublin is through Letterkenny whether you come via Omagh or Donegal Town. Will be about the Carrig Rua hotel from fri evening about 5pm, and hoping we may be able, weather permitting, to have a bbq when we get the wagons in a circle. Hoping to start sat run at about 11-11.30am to allow for anyone travelling on the day. The first leg of the day is Horn Head, so we will be back through Dunfanaghy about 1/2 an hour after we set out, which may suit anyone that is delayed. THe run has been posted on mx5 NI and we don't know yet how many of our Norn Iron friends will join us. My phone no is 087 6715466 / 00353876715466 if anyone has any questions.

Well, the good news is that I specialise in people who "do wrap jobs" as well as those who land on their head...

We'll be staying at my brother's place opposite the golf course, and I dare say you should be easy to spot...

We may even end up being neighbours Nigel. A gang of us have rented a house near the golf club.

Barney, Will and I will be up around 4pm on Friday. I'll give ya a buzz when we arrive.

We are travelling from Ballyhalbert Co. Down on Friday and hope to be settled in to Corcreggan Mill early afternoon. Might take the Greencastle Ferry over to make trip more adventurous. Be nice meeting everyone and be good to see Nigel and Lynne? again.
