just to guage would there be any interest in a run some saturday starting in dunfanaghy, taking in classic donegal rally stages horn head, atlantic drive, across the new mulroy bridge to fanad and knockalla. know that geographically we are a long trek for many but letterkenny is only2.5 hrs from dublin so not too bad. may be a good run for ni 5 owners. could be done comfortably starting at noon or 1pm. post a reply if interested. sunday would also be ok.

Haven't been up that way since I was a wee one!
I'd love to but can we make this during the summer when it's a wee bit warmer up there, would love to make this a long weekend!

I'd go along with Shena, it's a fair spin from here so the longer the days the better

I'd absolutely love that....
Again, coming from Dublin, I'd prefer to travel up on a Friday - enjoy the run on Sat - and have Sunday to make a leasurely return home.
Point about warmer, longer days, is well made.

june out off the question with donegal rally on 18-20th and weekend before for recce so too busy and too many traffic corp about. weather generally better here this last few years in may and june. roads too busy bank- holiday weekends. belfast end of may and iom mid july. would suggest maybe 8-9th may or late august say 21-22nd. only suggestions. hotel in dunfanagy did deal last year, all rooms 100euro for 2 nights including breakfast. rooms sleep 4 to 6 people. will try and find out if there is camping available locally.

corcreggan mill about 2 miles outside dunfanaghy does accomadation to suit all on one site. b&b, hostel and camping with secure parking. they also have facilities to barbeque etc. no prices but can enquire if any interest. plenty to do in area for anyone taking family members not interested in run, golf, surfing, horse-riding, hill-walking, glenveagh national park, beaches, fishing etc. hotel in dunfanaghy has music in bar 7-9pm to suit families with kids and then from 10-late.

How's about designating Donegal as this year's camping trip??? A bit of a journey , I know, for most, but with a bit of planning and organisation it could be done with respectable numbers!!
