Hi all, Just a short note to say were not going to Teranure.
Im afraid ive double booked the weekend, one was the Teranure Car Show,
the other is meeting a group of people we meet every year in Cork. Sorry.
I hope you all have a good day at the show. Hazel

So, can we decide on a meeting point and time for the few left who are going? I'm local so don't have far to travel and can be there at 8am if necessary, I'm sure the folks coming from further afield wouldn't be too keen on that. How about meeting in the Topaz station in Tempelogue village?

Hope you guys have a great time at this show!

If anyone sees any old Datsun 240Z/280Z cars, could you get a picture or two?

My first car. *sigh*

Also, you didn't need a supercomputer and a specialised set of tools to mess about with it. Just pop the hood, scrape some knuckles rooting around, see how it goes.

How about meeting at Phoenix Park opposite the Wellington monument ? It's a handy, central location and a nice drive from there to Terenure.
It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world

Count me in Frank. I'm going to take a drive-by after all - I'll bring my dad with me! 8am's too early for me though....

930?

How about it Stephen? Anyone else?

Umm, can I join up with you guys somewhere closer? I live literally 10mins drive from Terenure so I'd be going a looong way out of my way only to come right back - how about the small parking area in front of Eddie Rocket's in Terenure (opposite Rathdown Motors) at 9:45?

Location's no problem Steve, time might be a bit fluid tho... PM me your number and we can play it by ear on Sunday. Frank, cool?

Hi Rob, our reserved area is cancelled, yes, but you will not have to pay in at the gate if you've pre-booked. I'd say we'll be in position by 10:45, best bet is to arrive at the gate and ask to be directed to the non-club display area, we will try to keep a spot for you there.

I will be driving 150 miles or so to get there, so since 12.30pm is the official
latest time for arrival, I won't be in Dublin before 11 o'clock. I'll just take my
chances on available parking space.

Pj and I are going to the car show.
The organisers allocate space for mx5 club.
We just arrive and are shown where to park.
We have a mini, foldable, gas barbie, we would bring it. That means everyone would have to bring their own raw foods to cook on it, and your flask of hot water for coffee/tea. Our barbie is only big enough to cook one larg pack of frankforterd at one time.
Hopefully the summer will arrive by then and highlight our gleaming motors.
Warm Regards
Hazel

What a brilliant day... Thought we were going to be rained out of it when setting out, but it blew up into a scorcher. Lovely to see Steve again after our last escapade in Tipperary (sorry you missed out this time 'Cashel' Tom)...

Great to meet face-to-face with 'Donegal Tom' - and site newbie Robster - and great thanks to Octane for the hospitality.

Amazingly diverse turnout as it happens, (the SS 100 got to steal the show) but lots of super representations from several golden eras of motoring... my dad has driven a lot of the cars on display, and his memories made the day even more special. Dublin in the fifties etc....

We had a Delorean glinting in the sun (always had a sneaking affection for 'em)... Harley Davidson grumbled and rumbled (as they do)... and I just couldn't resist (s)talking my way into the driving seat of a pretty blue Ferrari.. *sigh*...

The strawberry tent was a bonus... and I just hope the photobucket link works... otherwise I'll have to think of another way of dumping 49 shots on SteveR (and that's only half of what I snapped)....
