Some folk on the run yesterday mentioned that they wanted to undertake some maintenance/ repairs so ill offer my place as a venue. Have all tools needed.......i think!!!
Anyways, i'll gauge interest and see who wants what done and which date suits.

They're open to all members. It's a way of sharing skills, information and the proper tools

Hi Jay, yep , from Newbridge. I have some business in Walkinstown first, then I have to make my way to Robert in Swords ( autocheck) to collect a pair of shocks and then head north towards Drogheda for the tech day..times somewhat vague but we could meet, say, in the car park of the Red Cow Moran's hotel around the half -ten mark?? I'm on 0872656053 John

best order to take em out and tools to use really all i have are mostly ratchet spaners and a couple of sockets but some of the nuts on the suspension seem a bit small for sockets.. also straight after the suspension the engine is to follow here are some pics http://s1083.photobucket.com/albums/j399/decoiy/car/

Well , managed to replace the shocks & springs on the mk1 while under the watchful eye of Seán and Jay..the drive home was a grand cross-country run from Clogherhead to Dunleer to Collon, Slane, Trim, Summerhill, Kilcock, Prosperous and on to Newbridge. So much more fun than the boring motorways! Thanks again for the use of your tools Seán, you've a grand spot there for tech days...I reckon it won't be my last visit up to you John PS....fruit shortcake is the new jaffa cake
