Cheers lads, at least the 7 is running fairly well. My 5 is in need of ...well, a lot. Its with a friend who is a mechanic( I was too busy with the 7) and he has been working away on it over the past few weeks. Got an update today, she needs most of the bushings replaced, ball joints, diff, dodgy handbrake..... the list goes on. He has already replaced all 4 discs & pads and had a diff swapped in, but that was worse. It also needs the hardtop to be fixed and the entire car could do with a buffing

Its feckin typical. A few years ago(pre end of the world!) I looked for a car loan and was laughed at when I said I wanted 2k. "Sure you'll get nothing for that, we'll give you 30k instead so you can buy something decent".
Boy am I glad I didn't do that. Now, I could do with a few more quid, but I've a better chance of hitting the jackpot while waking up next to Georgia Salpa. Both seem like a great idea, but I'd say my head would be fried!

I've a buffer/polisher if you need a loan, its a bit rough but does the job :

Cheers Steve, might take you up on that. I reckon it'll be a while before I'm at that stage though. Very tempted to sell it as is and save some money to get another one later on....
