Before some people put their babies away for the winter, I was wondering if there was any appetite for a one day run around the Midlands. Beauty of the Midlands is that, obviously, it is very central and relatively accessible from most parts of Ireland. Proposing Portlaoise as a starting point, this should suit most people for the east but also close enough to the Mid West and Waterford/Cork (only 90 mins from Cork city). Slightly longer drive for our Galway members.
Any interest?

You should hire a car (with the steering wheel in the right place) and visit the "Serra de Tramuntana". http://wikitravel.org/en/Serra_de_Tramuntanahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serra_de_Tramuntanahttp://www.serradetramuntana.net/en/

I hate to split hairs Paschal, but the Jack Lynch Tunnel is 102 miles from Portlaoise! However, I would love to do a run through the Midlands, I am free either Sunday so count me in either date.
