7s Day/Mazda Day 2014

See our facebook page, 7s Day Ireland, for more info. Its a 2 day event. We start from Killimor, Co.Galway at 12 noon this Saturday 5th. Going to follow the Lough Derg Drive, stopping in Killaloe for fuel & refreshments. Then continue round the lake and back to Killimor for a night of partying! Free camping, secure parking, dj, food, drinks - should be a great night. Then, Sunday morning we head to Pallas Karting Tynagh, for a Mega GP!
While there we will have show & shine competitions, plenty prizes, car parts for sale(feel free to bring along anything Mazda you want to sell) lots of karting action and food & drinks available to purchase.
Track and all facilities booked out for the day, just for us. The large circuit, with the more powerful karts.
We can have show and shine competitions in the carpark or elsewhere on site.
I can organise a DJ if people are interested.
Pallas are going to organise the food and drinks, with people paying for what they eat, most fair way to do it I think.
If you have the appetite of a mouse, you'll pay a lot less than a savage, e.g, me.
As for the karting:
They can give us a giant Grand Prix, catering for the entire group, up to 120 people on the day.
To start with, we will have practice sessions for all.
After this, the first wave of heats, with drivers awarded points based on finishing position.
Second wave of heats, with fastest drivers from first heat moved to back of grid for heat 2. Points awarded once again.
High point scorers will be moved on to semi finals and from there to final.
Nobody will drive the same kart twice, so it'll be as fair as possible.
Karts with any issues in practice will be fixed or swapped out, we'll get the best performing karts they have.
In short, based on 120 people, we will have approximately 7hours of karting!!
And the cost...... just €35 a head.
I think that is a fantastic price.
You'll be told at the start what time your heat will be at, so you can be enjoying the cars on show, chatting other rotorheads, sitting back having a drink or just chilling.
Heats can be annouced over the PA, so you'll be told when you need to suit up again.
There will be trophies for the top three drivers and champagne for the overall winner.
So, if you like the sound of all that, put your name down here, only if its not already down on another forum.
Please note that there are other groups being invited from other forums and we are limited to 120 drivers, first come, first served. However, all Mazda and Rotary vehicles are welcome on the day to join in the other events/celebrations & competitions.
