It's ON.. The GREAT Kildare/ Wicklow run

Postby leamyj » Thu, 08 May 2008 2:01 +0000

Now that we have a definite date for the Waterford run, I think we should split the interim by having the Great Kildare/Wicklow run (am I building this up enough?).

DATE: SUNDAY 25TH MAY

TIME: 10:00 - 10:30 A.M.

VENUE: CAR PARK AT NEWHALL BUSINESS PARK (B&Q) OFF M7 JUNCTION BETWEEN NAAS AND NEWBRIDGE

Apologies for short notice, but if we let it run into July we come up against holidays etc. This is a one day event and participants should be in a position to head home by 4 o'clock that evening. The run itself will be breaking for lunch en route.
This run will take in parts of Kildare with a good run through the Southern and central areas of the Wicklow mountains....you will be left in no doubt as to why Wicklow is known as the garden of Ireland.. stunning scenery and quiet long winding roads.

Anyone wishing to arrive in Newbridge the previous day will be more than welcome and I will organise a get together Saturday night.. let me know in advance please.

Please register your intentions, hope the new members can make it!!

John :D

Sorry you cant get here John. Ash, it'll be great to have you on a run without the vectra...sorry, support vehicle.

Ok, the ball is rolling... all drivers in the greater leinster area , and beyond, make your intentions known.
I am making a call to all newcomers of the last year to try and get to this one, it's only a few hours in duration and will be a great opportunity to put faces to names.
For the un-initiated,on these runs ..we do not drive like lunatics, or in any dangerous manner.
We drive generally in a convoy style and within the speed limits. We take several stops en route for chats, food and photo opportunities. Although we have a common connection of driving mx5's, the conversations are not always about cars... they usually take the form of slagging matches... :D :D

So come on, take the plunge

God forbid that you would have to recycle your bent dipstick!!

Anyway , you can use the GREAT Kildare/ Wicklow run as an opportunity to break-in the new motor :D
