Hello all ,
I'm looking into running a Clare and Kerry run on the weekend of the 12 th and 13 th of September
I'll deal with the Clare run while Alan ( back in black) will do the Kerry run .
The plan is to meet in Ennis on Saturday morning for 9.30 to leave for 10.00 ,this location should suit people coming from Galway , Limerick , Kerry, tipp ,Clare etc, your taking exit 12 on M18 .
The meeting point I'm thinking about is the texaco service station on the n85 Lahinch road

From there it's up the road to corafin , leaminach to ballyvaughan and then to lisdonvarna and the cork screw . From there it's the coast road to Lahinch ,Spanish point, doonbeg as far as the ferry outside kilrush . I'm hoping to be at the ferry at 4 pm ,5 at the latest so as not to be too late crossing into Kerry as some may wish to stay in Tralee for the night and sample the local amenities !
It's a long spin hence the early start !
Of course you are welcome to do both days or simply one

The Kerry & Cork bit!!

If we make the 4 o clock ferry from Killimer we can do a bit of north Kerry coast roads on the way to Tralee bring us through BallyBunion and around Kerry Head to BallyHeigue.

Dinner & Pints in Tralee around 8 o clock

Sunday

To make it easier for people to join the run at different locations I have a few start points.

Leave Tralee at 10.00am and head for Killarney.

Leave Killarney at 10.30am and head for Kenmare over Molls Gap.

Leave Kenmare at 11.30am and head for the Healy Pass. I would suggest that people bring a packed lunch and we could have a break between runs down the pass and this will save a lot of time for anyone who has a bit of distance to travel home.

When everyone has had they're fill we can make for Glengarriff and take the mountain road back to Kenmare through some great tunnels.

Cup of coffee in Kenmare and off home.

Hope to see ya there! :D

Alan

Was talking to Jamie on Irish Rotary and he seemed interested in joining. Would there be any objections putting an invite out to the lads on Irish Rotary. There all a sound bunch of lads.

I'll try make it on the Sunday if work allows. Kev if I'm going I can tie in with you as I'd be heading down from cork too.
