Flaps

Postby franksm » Wed, 06 Jan 2010 12:02 +0000

The drains in each of the rear wheel arches have a valve/flap built in. Does it open upwards or downwards ? ie. when clearing the drains, should a stick/etc but pushed in from the underneath or from above ?

Doing it the wrong way will surely damage the flaps.

Anyone ?

It would surely have to open down to release water no? Also if it opened up it would allow the dirt to get into the tube from the road.

I've always cleared them from the top anyway on that assumption
