Shena,

I had the door cards off to do a speaker swop and did the windows at the same time. Did not remove the plastic moisture barriers (with the black gunky stuff), just got access at the cables, runners, guides etc.

Removing the door card is not a major hassle and gives access to all the bits.

Have to say that to get at the access point to the motor imo you have to remove the plastic with the black gunge - juyst pull it back carefully - you might have to cut it in a couple of places with a sharp knife - but the stuff is so sticky you won't have a problem sticking it back on afterwards.

You could just do the Channels in the door where the glass slides up along the fly window as a starter to see how you get on............
