Mk 1 Central Locking

Hi,
has anyone fiited/upgraded their MK1 to have central locking? i have seen kits available and purchsed one at one stage only to send it back cause there was no way it was going to fit.

Is there a tried and tested kit that works as I want to have another go at this again.
