hardtop loosehi having a problem lately that my hardtop keeps coming loose at the back on the frankinstien bolts and when on a bumpy road it just bangs and bangs and is going to end up driving me mad

1. remove your hardtop 2. on the chrome latches at the rear there is a little screw at the side of each latch - remove this and the latch will slide open 3. refit hardtop 4. loosen but (dont remove )the 2 exposed bolts 5. push the little plate under the 2 bolts forward as far as it will go , so it fits tightly against the mushroom bolts 6. retighten bolts 7. close latch and insert screw job done

![]() Re: hardtop loosechances are the plastic keeper ( edge) on the plate under the 2 bolts are worn out.
you need the build up the keeper again remove plate completely and wrap the leading edge bit ( should be thick white plastic) up in insulating tape , nice and thick. if that doest fix it them there is something seriously wrong as this is the only way to adjust your hardtop onto the mushroom bolts. ![]()

thanks for that charged will try it when i get home as the plastic keepers do seem a lil bit worn hopefully this will work before i go mad with the noise ![]()
