My car has been in the shed for quite a while now, and im having issues with my light.. they wont go go up anymore.. they worked perfectly before i prked it. electrics aren't my strong point so i said id pose the Q before i started digging. any thoughts on what may have gone wrong?

Have you removed the flasher/light switch from the center consol? This will stop the lights from going up. Check the relay and fuse. I can put up a circuit diagram later if you need it. The retractor fuse is in the box next to the brake master cylinder, the relay is on the right next to the washer bottle (I think).

There is a trick used by mazda themselves in 1993 and you bridge two terminals on the rear of the light switch itself.not sure of the terminal wire colours but google it andvall details are there. Very simple job as car pre 93 did not lift the lights when you used flash on switch and this is how mazda solved it.!!

The steps here might help in tracking the fault down. I'd say its only something disconnected.
