Purchased one of these chips on Ebay ( I know it's more than likely crap)
But it's only two wire installation and can be removed easily, then your back to standard.
So I would like to give it a try anyway?
Problem is it connects to two cables of the Air Intake Temperature Sensor, which I believe is housed within the Air Flow Meter, but I have five cables coming from the terminal connection unit on the Air Flow Meter.(Guessed the question)?
My car is 1996, 1800cc.
Cables as follows from terminal connection.

(1) Large white and red cable
(2) Small red and white cable
(3) Small red and black cable
(4) Small black cable
(5) Small black and green cable

The chip has two cables, one connects to the Air Temperature Sensor signal cable and the other to the sensor power cable.
(Sounds easy don't it)
Anyone know which of the cables above are the one's to connect to ?

No probably about it I'm afraid .. It'll richen up your car a bit. Best off advancing your timing first.

Anywho, here's the pins in the ECU these go to, will have a look for which is which later

(1) Large white and red cable : 4B
(2) Small red and white cable : 3B (think this is the signal)
(3) Small red and black cable : 3K (and this the reference.. best to check tho)
(4) Small black cable : GND
(5) Small black and green cable : A different GND

The unit came with an installation instruction leaflet, information as follows
Step 1: Turn engine off, remove key from ignition and remove the negative battery terminal.
For Air Flow Sensors, 3-wire IATs MAF/IAT and MAP/IAT Combo Sensors-Locate the sensor power wire and the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) signal wire on your sensor plug. If they are not clearly labeled you can use a voltmeter to locate the proper wires. with the key turned to accessory. measure the voltage coming from the sensor plug ports, the power wire should carry a 12 volt circuit and will most likely be colour coded Red. Next take an ohm reading from the sensor ports (not the plug), at the IAT signal port should carry an ohm value from 1000-5000 ohms. After locating the proper wires, snip both wires at the back of the plug. We recommend making this cut a few inches behind the plug.

Thats the instructions provided.
The Chip module is a little box with two wires at each side with pust togeather connectors, so it can be removed easily and the origanal wires then re-connected.
1, Red and 1, Black in one side and 1, Red and 1, Black out the other side.
They say to connect the Black wire to the IAT, signal wire and the Red wire to the IAT, power wire.

That's it, but I do not have a Voltmeter to confirm any of the values above.
Question remains (Which two wires)

I had a look over these diagrams, on page (8) it shows the Mass Air flow sensor, but I can't make sense of where these wires lead ?

Anyone know anyone who fitted one of these Chips. I think 90% of them would fit to the same two wires.

Problem still remains which two wires ????
