Hi all. 1999 mk2 1.6 eunos. The fuel gauge is stuck at the full position, do I have to remove the fuel pump and sender unit from the petrol tank, any advice would be most appreciated. John1.

Should be easy enough to get at the pump/sender unit, a removable plate under the carpet of the parcel shelf, while you're there check the wiring f before removing the pump, stuck on full is most likely a short to ground

Hi pops. Thank you for your reply, I have to admit when it comes to electrics I am useless, I disconnected the plug on top of the petrol tank, 4 wires, two black, one red with blue stripe and one brown with black stripe. To check for a short to ground, is that where I need a ohmmeter (I think that is what it is called) to check for a specific reading, if the reading is not as per the manual or none at all then the problem is not in the tank. I don't want to take the fuel pump and sender unit out and cause another problem if I don't need to. Hope all that makes some sense. John1.

I'll have a look at the manual to see if there's any info there but in the meantime have a look here

Hi all. Can anybody tell me who the go to person/people are to get used parts for 1999 mk2 1.6 eunos, after days of checking everything to figure out why the fuel gauge is stuck at full, i removed the dial cluster with all the gauges and discovered that all the needles move freely except for the fuel gauge. Any ideas as to where I might start the search for a fuel gauge or a complete cluster would be great. John1.
