im thinking of entering my car into a sound off/spl comp at the modified motors show il be at on the 11th and 12th of april,i was just wondering if anyone knows anyone who did them before and if anyone ever heard of soft tops entering? going mad i sold my hardtop as the sound pressure level is bound to be much higher with a hardtop

Maybe you could borrow one for the day ?
I'd give you mine, but right now it's 2 shades of yellow

(Heck, if you buy 3 or 4 rattle cans of a shade of blue I'll spray it. It's going to be sanded down anyway so what the hell).

thanks fergus,my sound system is big enough but im no pro sound wise,would love to do this though,will be interesting to see what score i get as the interior space in the mx5 is very small

From seeing your sound system myself I am thinking you may need a new soft top after the event....maybe even a new windscreen
