Thinking of getting a new radio anyone got something I should be looking at?
Have a couple of things I'd like...
SD card slot green bottons(to match the dash) cd bluetooth (maybe) black face
other than all that I'm not to picky...

I have been very happy with my Lidl bluetooth head unit for over 12 months. cd, sd card slot and aux input means can play almost anything. Bluetooth works with the phone for handsfree. Also found their customer service excellent as when i had my car burgled and the facia unit stolen, they supplied a new one free of charge.
if you have a bose system or have to bypass a bose amp/system or replace speakers, gimme a shout as have been through all that.
With general road noise and when the top is down, a sophisticated sound system is probably overkill - something bogstandard with enough volume is prob the way to go in my opinion.

This is the one I have: Now in fairness I wouldnt buy one on this link but these are an awesome head unit. Way over priced at about €500 but what an amazing sound. Have them in with some kick ass Pioneers and headrest speakers.. Im looking for an Ipod touch car kit now though.. there hard to find..

I'll second the Lidl option - all the bells and whistles with bluetooth - think I paid €79 yoyyos - just be careful using bluetooth with a softtop - everyone can hear your conversation

So, Sakib, what's the verdict? Happy with it... or d'you rather you'd gone for a bigger brand? (in general, I find some ALDI stuff really good, & some pretty cheapo.) Cheers, Simon
No more Mk1, now driving an '08 Mk3. Still fun!

Happy enough with it. The cd player isn't brillant, but I tend to listen to the radio or use the SD function the most there never enough music on one cd... esp on a nice drive. the bluetooth works well with my n97 but not as good with my n95.
Would I buy another one so I guess that the answer...
