I am looking to buy an Mx5.€2000

Postby pateng » Wed, 08 Jan 2014 2:46 +0000

Hi folks. I am back in the market for a Mx5 again after been Mx5less for a few years. Like to know what I should expect for €2000. Have had two Mk1s in the past so know a bit :-)

Hi there! there is a "wanted" section that might suit this better than the "for sale" one?
I just bought a nice Mk2 with 60 000 miles and with hardtop for less than 2k, so if you are patient you definitely can find something nice for your budget.
Then its a matter of taste. I like the mk1 better but it's less refined and more likely to have high milage and rust than a Mk2, which feels a bit nicer to drive/more comfy on a daily basis

Hi there,
I have a beautiful MX5 1999 for sale.
Reluctant sale. The car is immaculate and I have attached a link of the car on done deal.
the bonus is it comes with a hardtop.
I know you said you are looking to spend 2000 but my price also includes the hardtop and has an excellent service history.
I had the NCT completed on the 17th Jan even though not due until april.

You are more than welcome to view the car.

Many thanks

not necessarily, the mk1 doesn't have the chassis rails issue.
