Hello there!

Reluctantly I currently have a mint Mazda MX5 01 for sale with 41,500 genuine miles on the clock. (I'm 6 months pregnant & need to find something that'll accomodate both baby & hubby!!)

It's currently on Donedeal.ie & Carzone & has just been given a full service (NCT is to April '09):

I would really appreciate if you could circulate this to any of your members or indeed friends or family who may be interested in picking up a clean example. I have to say it's the best car I've ever driven & I'll be sorry to see it go :(

I am contactable on this email or on 087-6896858.

Cheers, Colette :)

Congratulations Collette. Good luck with the sale. You could always get rid of the hubby and hold on to the car

Pristine '01 MX-5 for sale: anybody interested!??!?

Postby quinnc » Wed, 07 Jan 2009 3:15 +0000

Hello there! And a 'Very Happy New Year' to you all :D

I'm still looking for a buyer for my lovely MX5. I've reduced the price down to 9,500 euro at this stage (from 12,500 originally) given Junior is due to arrive in the next fortnight!

Anybody know of anybody who might be interested - it really is a great car & will be sorry to see it go.

Alternatively I'm looking for somewhere to house it in the Cork area if I can't sell it as it's taking up space I don't have in my driveway - any ideas / advice woudl be greatly appreciated - cheers :)

Car is on Donedeal with pics & details:

Cheers! Colette

Hate to put a downer on things for you, but with the way things are at the moment in the car market i would think the price should be nearer 6,000
if you want to get a sale at this time of year.

Don't think i would bother storing it, if that went on too long
it could cost you more than the car is worth.

You might try contacting a dealer to see if they would sell it for you.

I agree with Ivan.
And to rival uk imports @ the moment, 5k would be more like it to grab a sale if possible in ths slowwwwwwwwwww market.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Quinn, but all the best with the new impending arrival.

Thanks Ivan & Robert for your replies - really appreciated :)

Not looking for trade in just a sale at this stage. Am going to keep positive & hope the spring weather will yield something - if you come across anybody looking for a great car in the meantime do keep me posted.

Thx a mill & catch up again soon! Colette

Hi Colette,

As the previous respondees have said car prices are really depressed at the moment....the credit crunch has taken hold and very few cars are being sold at the moment.

As you say keep positive for a sale springtime..in the meantime enjoy the safe arrival of your baby. :D

Best wishes to you.
Regards John.
