Im selling my mx5 as i need something better suited to my higher mileage commute to work.

The details are as follows:

Modifications:

Kyb Agx 4 way adjustable shocks (installed a few months ago)
Flyin Miata springs
14 inch Alloy wheels (i think they are mazda wheels as ive seen them on other models)
Hard Dog Deuce Roll Bar

Bad Points (ill be completely honest) :

Wheels have signs of winter corrosion and one has some kerbing.
Small cut in soft top which i have patched.
Rear brakes need replaced which i have new ones sitting here ready for.
Usual small stone chips on bonnet.

Taking into consideration the minor flaws im pricing the car at £2995

Original shocks and springs will be included if required.

Would be interested in part exchange for reliable medium sized hatchback / saloon i.e VW Golf TDi etc

Im not selling due to credit crunch / recession so im not listening to 'silly' offers which most sellers im sure are used to.

Car is located in Co. Tyrone in Northern Ireland.

Most of the chips have been touched up and a patch is on the cut in the roof. The car is due MOT in the next few weeks so will be sold with a full years MOT if not sold before then. New brakes and pads are waiting to go on it for that. Otherwise the car is grand for someone to buy and ive priced it according to the current market.

Agreed. You should have no problem selling her at that price and it it's current condition.

Was just looking at car prices in southern ireland, most are much much more expensive than up in northern ireland! I thought i was pricing my car correctly using uk prices as a guide but it seems very cheap compared to southern motors of same spec, year etc.

You need to add on VRT (vehicle registration tax) .. with is supposed to be around 30% of the current market value of the car.. but it varies wildly..

Depending on emissions it's anything from 14% to 36%. A quick calculation on the Revenue website puts this one at about €2,550 calculating at 28%

i got a price of 1,025 euro on the vrt off the rev com, don't where you lot got 2,500.

Anyway stig thats a 98 against a 2001 hence the price difference

True but that one you linked to is 3 years older, doesn't have a harddog bar (worth 300 at least imho), or the suspension upgrade plus it has twice the mileage.
If it wasn't for the vrt it would be cracking value but there we go.

Fair do's - its not like for like, but ya know its a mk2 and to me a mk2 is a mk2, regardless of year/spec/bits etc.
Like it don't matter for a weekend car and a small layout like 4ish k.
