As the title states, I'm selling my '94 1.8 S-Special. It's Laguna Blue in colour and it has the usual S-Special bits (and Eunos Roadster extras) such as:

• Bilstein dampers (yellow)
• Engine bay strut brace (yellow)
• Nardi leather steering wheel
• Headrest speakers
• Electric windows
• Electric mirrors
• Power steering
• A/C (not working though)
• Chrome speaker panels
• Under body strut brace (rear)

It also has the following accessories fitted:

• 15” Sparco Racing alloys
• 4 branch stainless manifold
• Upgraded ignition leads (yellow)
• Induction kit
• Stainless intake grille
• Front fog lights (not wired up)
• Kenwood CD/MP3 stereo
• Stubby rear wing aerial
• Billet steel gear knob & handbrake handle
• Cup holder (ashtray replacement)
• Stainless wiper blades

In my time of ownership I have fitted a new radiator, rad cap (genuine Mazda), thermostat (genuine Mazda), new horns.
The rear brake calipers have been rebuilt using new seals and pistons. The rear brake disks have also been renewed.
A new replacement plastic rear window has been installed. It is of a heavier duty type which is less prone to cracking.
In May 2010 I had the head gasket replaced which also included four inlet valves being replaced and the usual head skim.
That was at 132,000 miles (212 kms). The car current has 136,750 miles (218,800 kms).

Now the bad points:
The engine is pretty smokey on cold start and requires a few minutes of running before it clears. I had a local garage
diagnose the problem and it is reckoned the head will need to come off again as valve seal(s) is/are the problem.
It doesn't seem to be rings as the smoke clear when the engine is warmer.
Also, the exhaust has a slight blow but far from major.

I have another MX5 (1992 V-Spec) which is my project and I don't have the room or time for both.
Price is €1350 firm. I'll spare you the whinging of what the car stands me cost-wise however I feel the price is fair given
the work required.
I can be contacted through here via PM, at 085-2719444 or e-mail airhead_irl@yahoo.com

If you don't manage to find a buyer, you'd probably get your price by breaking it.. can be a poison chalice though if you're a bit tight for space.

Best of luck

John

Hi John,

Yeah, that crossed my mind but I don't really have the inclination for it due to space.
I have an offer on it but it's still a bit away from what I want for it.
If I didn't have my other MX5 then I'd gladly keep it but there's three cars in the drive
and moving them all is a pain !
