Right,

Time to let it go I think. Myself and the GF have had a 5 each for too long. Time to get rid of one. We have too many cars.

1989 silver Eunos - Perfect nick mechanically and body-wise. Not a speck of rust anywhere, nearly new hood, clear rear window,

mechanically 100%:
New Timing belt, tensioners, brake pads all round, brake fluid, coolant changed, new oil, filters, plugs all within last 500 miles. All reciepts for previous services from Mx5parts.com. Clutch changed 10k miles ago. This car needs nothing done for a long time.

No leaks from hood - nearly new. MP3 radio.

Great fun car. No issues with it - starts & runs perfectly every time, very well maintained - cheap fun. €3900

Are they Morgans i see in the 1st photo ? - At that price you should'nt have any bother shifting it - best of luck - if I hear of anyone I'll let them know.

Parents B&B - they had a few Morgan owners staying - made for a good photo Op.

Hopefully she will sell quick - that's what the low price is for. I could hold out for more, but there's too many cars outside the house and I want to get another one (not a 5 this time) - not possible until there's space.

***Shameless bump***

She is still for sale. One potential buyer, who is still thinking and thinking, the car is sitting outside my house, sun is shining and it's got to go.

Has been checked by a mechanic at douglas motors - I can put buyer in contact with him. The car needs nothing - one rear wheel bearning will need replacement in a while, but other than that, nothing to report.

Price is now €3700. Includes 6 months tax (€200 worth). You will not find a 1989 5 in better nick. Ph: 0863258986

Right. This one is now back on sale - I stopped trying to sell it as people were giving me silly low offers because of the lack of NCT.

She is now NCT'd, (as of Saturday) and is for sale for €3900.

Why pay more when you can pay less.......

Mazda MX5 Sport Convertible '95 1.6 petrol. Leinster Longford
Leather & hardtop roof, 120k kms, immac cond, sky blue, recently serviced, no NCT, €3,450.

Mazda MX5 1.6L 1990. Leinster Wexford
60k, ex cond, good overall cond, Wexford, €3500 ono

(I do not know the above sellers BTW).

I'd pay more based on just the pics + description above TBH. Sounds like he likes/loves/knows his '5s.

Think price went back up with the NCT no?

yeah....but cars ain't shifting......and this car is on the market for yonks.
I looked at it online when i was looking for a 5 and discounted it as too expensive for what it is. btw- i'm not dissing it.
Like i got my 1.8 1993 in the colour i wanted with small milage for just over 3k vrt'd and all from the uk.
This car is only worth what anoyne is willing to pay for it and the fact its still for sale speaks volumes about the car market and economy right now - and maybe the fecking weather too!

We all love our babies & tend to have over-inflated (emotional) value invested in them, which in most cases doesn't reflect the realities of market value. Add to that a few sunny days & a good run......whoh..... 20% price hike straight away.
The SIMI says its members currently have 200,000 second-hand cars for sale....... so tis a buyers market for sure. If only 0.01% of these were MX5...then there's potentially 20 available out there with guarantees... and then there's the private seller volume also...

I'm not surprised it wasn't easy to shift without an NCT, but a fresh one is always a plus point for the seller and buyer alike.
