Yeah, it'll fit all mk1/mk2+ but not MK3 (or 4!). You'll lose the airbag though, that's the only thing. You're welcome to trial fit it, it takes 10 minutes or so with a socket...

It should fit ok but what you planning for airbag /NCT etc and airbag light will be showing on dash plus your airbags will be deactivated ,

Hi Rob.. I'll keep the standard wheel and stick it on when the nct comes round. Frank says it comes with the resistor and all that.
