Stainless Manifold

Postby JasoNA » Sun, 10 Aug 2014 7:33 +0000

Hi, on the lookout for a stainless steel exhaust manifold (4-2-1 or 4-1) in good condition for a mk1 1.6 NA6.

Its currently turbo'd and looking to take it a different route (ITB's) so I figured I'd get started with the manifold.

Yeah, as strange as its sounds!

Just been a bit pissed of with the reliability of it recently and we're expecting baby number 2 at Christmas so I figured there'd be less to go wrong with the ITB set up as I'll not have as much time or money to throw at it come the new year. I've already got the MS and various other bits and pieces there for a good ITB setup so I thought I might as well do it instead of selling the whole thing :)

I put a new engine in as it was giving me a bit of bother and then the seals on the turbo went and it was smoking badly and then I got a lend of a turbo and it was smoking and then I bought a replacement turbo but I couldn't get that clocked around so that's off at a mechanics to get freed at the minute. Just things like that made me lose heart in having a turbo on it. It is a shame as it was such a fun car to drive but I'm hoping ITB's will be a different kind of fun :D
