Have you damaged it? Why not get something like bullet crimp fittings?

@Steve, I want to keep it OEM as poss, to transfer my stripped out look carpeted centre console i'm making with ease with the stock plastic one if need be. I've sourced one over on Nutz. Ta for the link tho'!
