Wheel bearings

Postby mrsnips » Thu, 10 Dec 2009 12:17 +0000

I need 2 front wheel bearings for my 10ae 1999. Really need 1 but as we know change 1 thing and the other will always go a week later.
I have some prices, but trying to get the best deal before purchasing. Ta

That certainly goes against the norm. I hope to get a bearing changed on mine during the "off" season, Post your final price when you get there and let the rest of us in on it

Srigley! do you think i'll get away with just the 1 bearing then. Just afraid the other will go and have to go through the same grief again?????

well.. mine is a '91 and I've replaced only one bearing (rear passenger side), in retrospect I think a hub nut tightening might have fixed the whub whub noise, the other is fine.

Mine sounded a bit like a turbine engine on take off, so decided to put it into the hanger for the unsuitable weather. Might try the tightening of the hub and see if we will take off again in March....can't wait.
