Stick on Number plate

I recently lost my mounted number plate and now, with it gone, I like the shape of the nose cone on my 5. So I'm thinking of fitting a self-adhesive number on the front. Anyone have an idea where I can get a legal one - ie as per the NCT spec - county, euro flag etc?

it'll also have to be reflective + >2mm thick to pass the NCT I discovered a few years ago

For NCT it has to be a plate. They won't accept the sticky one. At least in my experience.
and they don't evade the recognition cameras/ Judging by the letter I got from eflow

Didn't Ollie pass his NCT recently with a stickie??..Mind you, wasn't the test guy salivating over the car at the time so he probably turned a blind eye to the number plate

I use a sticky. Its got euro stuff and looks legal cept it's half standard size and has mazda for 'county'. I put a standard legal plate an the bum so as not to attract too much attention. 4 years now and no bother from the law when stopped. for nct I have a standard plate that i stick on over it for the day. no probs. Got my sticky from local printers for €10.

Thanks for that voomvoom, all the same, while it may not be all together legal to have a self-adhesive plate (? there) I'd feel happier if it was legal ie county, euro flag, numbers and size of plate. Just to avoid any hassle with the law or the NCT.

I bought my R-Ltd with a stick on number plate on the bonnet which looked perfectly legal: size, county and euro emblem. It passed the NCT twice and then failed last year. No amount of arguing made any difference. Has to be a plate! Fitted a metal plate on the bumper with double sided tape and went for retest with two front number plates as I did not want to damage the paintwork. Passed the test with them smiling and took off the second number plate before I drove off. Never stopped by gardai. It looks good. Second plate put away for next nct cameo role!
