uk reg cheap runabout wanted

I am looking for a cheap n cheerful set of wheels for my son who is studying in Scotland. UK reg means cheaper insurance for him.

Just on the offchance that any of you guys n girls might know of something available....

got us a rusty but running-well 97 golf diesel for very little money. not much needing doing and fingers crossed will last the year for him....
