Cam Angle Sensor Plug & a foot of Wiring badly needed.

Postby sidewaysreilly » Sun, 22 Apr 2012 4:02 +0000

First time ever i had a Car stop on me. Ah well, a bit of rooting and the problem revealed itself.

The white wire coming out of the CAS sensor plug broke off. Jury rigged it to get home but need the plug and a decent bit of wiring to solder join it back into my loom.

Its a 1.8 mk1 and im not sure if the 1.6 is the same 4 wire jobby but i suspect its the same.

Anyone??????

Sorry Seán, was at a wake all evening, I did manage to pull out the loom, looks like I have it, there's just so many different bloody connectors on it. I'm away at a funeral for most of Wednesday, but if you can get to Newbridge I could leave the loom out for you if you like..let me know before ten o'clock on Wednesday morning..by text as I may not get to a computer in the morning.

Sorted. Plug is the same as coil pack and being a deutsch plug, i was able to pull the contacts out and fit them to the new plug.

That's how I was getting confused, I could see more than one of what you were looking for on the loom.

ah no bother john. I looked at it again today and loom of the spare engine had 3 pin coils so i took a contact & wire out of one and fitted it to the other to make a new 4 pin plug.

All runnin fine now for Kilbeggin tomorrow.
