Clarion cd audio unit

Hello all, I am looking for a clarion DRX8175R single disc cd audio unit rds/eon .I know this seems to some to be a strange request, but I have a 96 mk1 merlot edition[ english] and I believe this was the oem audio unit for this special edition. If anyone can help it would be great

Hi Brian,

I sent mine to Clarion in the U.k. a couple of years ago to get it refurbished so to keep the car original. It was not too expensive from memory. They even replace the ' 1 2 3 4 5 6' for the channel preset as the figures had worn off the buttons. They also sent me a 'Clarion' radio face case. Top class service, had audio unit sent off and returned to me in about 8/9 days. You send it over and then they ring you with a quote for repairs before they proceed. Unit is working fine since. Hello Clogher ,thats sounds great, it sounds like something I would do but my problem is is that I dont have the audio unit .I bought the car with a different unit fitted.I emailed clarion to see if they supplied older units but they dont.
I was hoping someone on this site had one from a car.Seeing what you did I would be willing to get one refurbed .
