depends on your definition of "mad prices"

if you buy cheap its usually cheap for a reason

if you want a proper diff you want a 1.8 as the 1600 diffs are smaller and viscous and wear to act like an open after approx 60k miles

Finding good solid cars that havent been bolloxed with (rust/ modified/crashed/overgheated/abused) is getting harder....yes there are alot for sale for cheap- most are dogs/money pits but if you want a good one expect to pay for it.

Prices of these wee cars are at an all time low and prices will only rise... really good ones will fetch "mad prices" in the future..... remember the vauxhall nova...try and buy a nice one for less than £3-4k these days, the capri ? the manta ? the same will happen to good eunos roadsters.

Excuse me for smiling to myself at this

I would advise you to drop down to autocheck and have a look at what he's offering..he's near the airport so should be handy enough for you to get to him
