Heater pipe to connect fan to heater matrix.

Postby sidewaysreilly » Sat, 01 Dec 2012 6:15 +0000

Deleted the aircon a few years back but finally got diggin under the dash to see why the fecker is sooo bloody cold.

Anyways, found the joint between aircon unit and heater matrix to be leaking out most of the cold blown air into cabin and feck all thro the heater. (well known fault) .

So, i took out the aircon unit ,pointless having something there thats not needed and its weighty(worked well if anyone needs one) and now i need something to join up the fan to the heater so either......

a, a pipe from a non air-con equipped car or.....

b, altenatives, ducting etc etc.

Someone must have done this before.

Cheers.

All sorted. Took out the evaporator unit and gutted it, taped up any holes and used new double-sided foam tape around the joints. Perfect now, loads of heat......passed nct with flyin colours also.
