I changed the mast on the electric aerial on the Jag, it was pretty easy - it just slots in with a bit of careful timing as the mast has a toothed section on the bottom. The MX5 is similar, it appears. I picked up mine for £15 on ebay.

Here's a scary guy showing how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvqJRR7iBLE

This one's better but not 100% relevant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3RZca7Zkr4

Yeah, "car-masts-uk" is the vendor. This is what I got: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-Aerial ... 5d2624d9be

Just checking now, he doesn't have ones for MX5s at the moment on ebay, but you get the idea... I wonder are the masts generic, because the motor just grips the toothed end of the mast and goes up or down to the extent of the mast's travel ?
