Re: Aerial WantedUsual problem, The plastic gear on the end of the mast are worn so motor is turning. But no drive. Check it out butbI think mast section is about 45 e.. We have one only good electric aerial complete fotr 60 e
Re: Aerial WantedI changed the mast on the electric aerial on the Jag, it was pretty easy - it just slots in with a bit of careful timing as the mast has a toothed section on the bottom. The MX5 is similar, it appears. I picked up mine for £15 on ebay.
Here's a scary guy showing how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvqJRR7iBLE This one's better but not 100% relevant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3RZca7Zkr4 It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world
![]() Re: Aerial Wanted15 e is great price. Autolink are something like 40 sterling . Must check it out
Re: Aerial WantedYeah, "car-masts-uk" is the vendor. This is what I got: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-Aerial ... 5d2624d9be
Just checking now, he doesn't have ones for MX5s at the moment on ebay, but you get the idea... I wonder are the masts generic, because the motor just grips the toothed end of the mast and goes up or down to the extent of the mast's travel ? It's a small world after all. It's a small, small world
