Just have taken back into my possession my lovely 91 v-special after a 7 year gap. The guy I sold it to had since moved to Hong Kong and it was deteriorating gradually in his fathers driveway!

At some point it had its roof slashed. I've bought a hood but does anyone know anyone who can fit it on the west coast Limerick /Clare /Galway?

Your best bet is to get a skin fitted to a frame already . Try Robert in swords for a good second hand one 086 8226506 .
I've fitted a skin on my old mk1 before got it from Mazmania in England went well but took me most of the day and you need a garage so as to keep dry .

Was the roof on the v spec tan or black?

Ps when your at it try and get a mk2 roof and frame with the heated glass window ,much better

Bit the bullet and fitted an eBay roof skin myself yesterday. Took 7 hours of effing and blinding but jobs a good un! Thanks for your kind offer. Being doing a few jobs. Fitted new regulators, turned out ones I had were fine and windows switches needed cleaning! Also valeted interior and repaired the drivers seat. Given paint a compound but it really needs paint! Last job is to free up the binded brakes. Will probably need calipers all round, hoping to finally have het on the road for May!! Hoping to make c & c so may see you there or else I may be buzzing round lahinch!!!
