Roof Down Driving

Surprisingly, the weather was pleasant enough today to drop the roof for a 90km spin around the Midlands (Mullingar to Delvin to Tullamore to Moate). Got a few strange looks....probably because I was grinning like an idiot and thoroughly enjoying the drive.

Caught the weather forecast later in the evening and see that rain and gales are due tomorrow :(

Did something similar last weekend as tax about to expire so figured with sunshine, heater on, woolly hat & big scarf... why not. And there, on the road, heading the other way....... another topless 5.....needless to say big waves all-round. :)

I have a wooly hat & coat in the boot at all times, I was heading off a few weeks back to visit some mates, roof down on the M1 when it started raining. As the rain kept increasing I kept speeding up, the windflow over the car kept the rain off me completely & after 20 mins the sun came back out.

I must have looked like a lunatic though, passing people in virtual darknes, headlights on & the roof down, love it. :D
