What turbo to choose?

I have been told that the 1.6 mx5 engine is the same as the engine in the 1.6 turbo 323. Is this true? With that in mind I have found a manifold and turbo from a 323. Would it work?

yep, but you will need the ecu from the 323 too

What kinda HP increase would I be looking at?

I don't think the manifold will work without some customising... its the wrong orientation. You'd need to cut and reweld it so it points backwards and not out under the engine (323 engine was traverse).
Re the ECU, would that work? I thought they had a distributor no?

Yeah I noticed that. Ive located a td04 from a scooby and I'm going to get a wrecked manifold and make up my own one.
