there is nothing to be scared of, the greddy kit is pretty straight forward to fit, its really just changing the manifold and down pipie, everythig in the kit is designed to fit stock parts, it takes around 6-8 hours fit including the ACU.

The ACU is an add-on i got a bipipes unit. You splice it into the ECU with 4 wires and it takes over some functions like timing retard. It allows the car to drive like an NA car off boost and scales back the timing under boost.

I would be happy to lend a hand fitting the kit if you live in the South Dublin/Wiclow area.

The final results even at low boost are great, makes the car feel like a 2ltr V6,

440cc will be good for 12psi (and upwards with good timing) :

A pipe off the turbo with a slight bend will put your filter back in behind the headlight.. I've a pic of mine somewhere.. I'll dig it out

+1 on the above.
If you want detailed info on the different turbo 'paths' you can take with an Mx5/Miata then sign up with MiataTurbo.Net
Be advised, if you dont do a search for answers to your question first, and ask that question in the forum they WILL bitchslap your ass.

any idea what the stock greddy boost pressure is?

I also have to fit a boost gauge this weekend, any advice on tapping it in, where did you pull the power source from?

anyone else running a bipipes, if so whats your set up?

Hi Ger,

heres where I had the pipe routed behind the headlight, its just a piece of thin walled 2 + 1/2" pipe with 2 opposing 90degree bends on it (see pic).

Stock pressure is 5.5psi or 6psi. Plug the boost guage into the spare nipple on the top of the intake manifold (if you are already using this for something else, just "T" into it). Theres also a plug down the back of the intake manifold you could use.

For power :
If its for the guages backlight, tap into the sidelight circuit.
Or if you have a digi read out thing, tap into the "Acc on" circuit (the same one your stereo uses).

There may be others.. but you are the first I've heard of using the bipes in Ireland ;-)
