Get the gas removed first.
Then start at the front and just start unscrewing pipes, condensor, a/c radiator etc, then get under the dash and remove the big box above the passengers feet. The compressor is the last bit, if you are keeping your power steering you;ll need a shorter belt (the reason mine is still on there ;-) ) its not difficult and doesn't take long. One of the bolts that holds the A/C compressor on will need to be replaced with a shorter one to keep the engine from leaking eventually apparently.

What is the O2 clamp for again?

sorts out the fuel mixture problem before going into WOT.

the O2 sensor looks for a 14.7 ratio which is too lean if your in boost at part thottle or under 4k.

It fools the O2 sensor into thinking it running lean and adjusts the mix to around 12 (its adjustable)

it also sends a signal to the injectors to stay open for a little bit longer.

I'm sure the link does all this.

Thanks for the info on the AC

And to think I worry about putting in 95RON unleaded when the handbook suggests I should use Super unleaded (but I can't find it at any of the stations around here....).

Does anyone know if a higher RON rating makes a (noticeable) difference to performance? I often feel the car doesn't pick up as quickly as I expect it to.

Sorry Ger - do not intend to hijack your thread...

Yeah something similar, it'll adjust fuel and the timing based on inputs from idle to full boost/high RPM.

Remove the AC AND the PS, it's not needed at all in the 5. Get all that junk out of the car man :D
I did the FM route with the PS and it ROCKS !
