just put these in yesterday,

anyone else tried long reach NGK's with boost?

std 1.1mm gap, any advantage in reducing this?

I'll give the a blast on the way up to dublin tomorrow, see if they are worth the extra few squid.

I've been using these ones for years....

Never had any problems with them.

I have not had any problems with those plugs either, just trying out the long reach versions, puts the spark further into the combustion chamber for a more complete burn or so they say.

plugs seem good, not going to make a big difference but smooth part throttle and pulls strong through the revs, could be just the plugs are new but feels a little better.

Steve, did you fit the new down pipie?
How did you find it, and how much did you get it for, if you don't mind me asking?

Dumping the greddy/std down pipe is on my list of things to do, saw a dyno a while back with turbo tony down pipe getting 15hp more than the greddy on the same car.

I might have a handle on some cheap tan top injectors 30 euro or so.
Is it worth having them professionally cleaned?
More boost is on the way, should have enough fuel for 8psi but with no WBO2 i'll have to be conservative.

Also saw a good article on an adjustable intake cam pulley on a turbo'd engine in PPC magazine, taking out the cam overlap made 40hp on the test car (not an mx5).

Yeah it should make a huge differance as turbos dont like overlap. I know the cosworth engine in n/a form is crap without changing the cams so i suppose its the same the other way round.

Yes, its great, really frees it up, boost comes in much earlier & lots more space under the torque curve (fab whooshing noise too ;-) ).
Am still trying to get correct readings from the wideband, think I might have a leak somewhere.
